Chase Karnes graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. His philosophy is simple: He believes that whether you're an elite athlete, soccer mom, or family doctor you should have access to the most recent developments in exercise, health and nutrition science.

    Above is a video from Saturday’s training session. Thanks to one of my training partners, Shane Solomon, for filming and uploading the video to his YouTube. The clip is the 660# Yoke/255# Farmer medley. As you can see I lost some time at the end on the yoke. The pavement slants to the right quite a bit and I was fighting with staying straight, before just giving and and walking to the right. All in all I had a good session on Saturday and today’s upper body session went pretty good as well.

    A. Log Clean & Press (Clean each rep) – Worked up to 230 x 6. Had some more “in the tank”, but my conditioning slowed me down. Time to improve that.

    B. Yoke/Farmer Medley - 660/255 Р50 ft. each Р24.51 seconds

    C. Yoke Walk – 570 – 50 ft. – 7.93 seconds

    D. Atlas Stone Run – 260/300/340 to 49 inches – 16.6 seconds

    E. Atlas Stone Squats – 240 x 4

    F1. GHR – 10# behind head x 3 sets of 8 reps

    F2. BKSU – 25# behind head x 3 sets of 6 reps
